I began writing Bible lessons in 2007, not because I was a biblical scholar or a talented writer. In fact, back then, I knew very little about the Bible. If you had asked me if I was a Christian, I would have said yes. However, that wasn't entirely true. I was more of a cultural Christian than a true follower of Jesus.
One morning, God led me to write Bible lessons. Initially, I was unsure of what to do. Asking someone who had barely read the Bible to write about it felt like an odd request. Yet, I couldn't ignore the feeling. If God has ever spoken to you, you know what I mean.
So, I found an old Bible and began to study it. To help me understand what I was reading, I dug up my uncle's Bible commentaries from the closet and dusted them off. As I read about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, I became intrigued. His story was unlike anything I had ever heard before.
I kept reading, gathering more research materials, and studying. God did what He does best: He gave me a new heart and put a new spirit in me. For the first time, I chose to accept Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and make Him the Lord of my life. Ever since that moment, nothing has been the same.
God used my meager talents to write and email these lessons for His glory and my joy.
